SM City Davao hosts the Commission on Election’s No Bio, No Boto voter’s biometrics registration on July 25, Saturday at the ground floor of the Annex.
The biometrics registration at the mall is expected to bring the COMELEC services more accessible to the public. Davao residents from districts 1, 2 and 3 may simply go to the registration booths with a valid ID reflecting their current addresses.
SM Supermalls and Walter Mart Community Malls have inked an agreement with the COMELEC for the conduct satellite registration booth.
The voter’s registration and biometrics validation for the 2016 national and local elections are ongoing until October 31 at the COMELEC offices.
“We are happy to bring together the COMELEC offices from all the districts in Davao. Offering the biometrics registration service on a weekend will also give those who are studying or working on weekdays, an opportunity to update their voter’s details. Since our mall is also PWD-accessible, this will be a good venue for the sector to do their COMELEC transaction here in SM City Davao,” mall manager Lynette Lopez shares.
The same services will be offered on August 2 at SM City Davao. Other SM malls will have the No Bio, No Boto booth in the coming days. Schedules will be posted on respective mall’s Facebook pages.
