Show your commitment to protecting the planet by joining Earth Hour 2012 on March 31, 8:30 PM!
There will be simultaneous switch-off ceremonies in Makati, Cebu and Davao led by the World Wide Fund for Nature. In Davao, WWF-Philippines National Ambassador Marc Nelson will host the switch-off event in SM City. You may march to SM City Davao (be there by 6 PM to witness the Kadayawan-themed parade) or to your nearest switch-off site to join this huge environmental celebration, or you may simply turn your lights off at home from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
To make things more fun and interesting (It’s more fun in the Philippines, right?), gather your family and friends, watch the video below and learn the steps of the Earth Hour Davao Dance Craze, then proceed to SM City Davao next Saturday, March 31, and do the dance for Mother Earth! The steps are really simple, although the complete routine has several step combinations. Don’t worry since there will be lots of other people dancing and you can just follow the people around you in case you forget the steps! Haha.. Don’t miss this chance to do something for our planet — plus, it’s going to be fun!
Also, Earth Hour 2012 launched a new campaign to further raise awareness on environmental protection — the “I Will If You Will” challenge. Dare the world to save the planet. My Earth Hour dare to my friends? I WILL join a tree-planting activity IF YOU WILL use public transport for a week.
Start your summer right. Join Earth Hour 2012 this Saturday.
