Globe Brings Superior Network Experience to Davao City!

Globe Telecom has embarked on its most significant investment in the last two decades — a $700-million landmark mobile network modernization program that includes an all-IP infrastructure, pervasive 3G coverage, double fiber optics capacity, 4G and LTE readiness, and overall quality and resiliency.

For regular users like us, this means faster call connections, improved call quality, on-time delivery of text messages, reduced incidence of dropped calls, and superior mobile and broadband connection.

Globe partners with Huawei in China and Alcatel-Lucent in France to deliver superior customer experience to mobile and broadband users in the Philippines.

Globe Senior Adviser Peter Bithos was in Davao City last Friday, March 23, for the media launch of the network modernization program in Marco Polo Davao. Vice Mayor Rody Duterte and other local government officials were also present in the event. Davao City is actually the first city in the country to experience the benefits of this program. It is expected that this development will help improve businesses and boost employment in the country.

To put its network to the test, Globe challenged media personalities and bloggers from Manila and Davao to race around the city, each one using an iPhone 4S and taking advantage of Globe’s fast and efficient network.
