Ana Sofia Serrano, a Grade 5 student of the Ateneo de Davao University, won the bronze medal in the 2009 International Math Contest held in Singapore from August 20 to 25.
The competition had 557 participants from China, Hongkong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Philippines. The Philippines ranked second with a medal tally of 16 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 59 bronze medals.
