It is becoming increasingly evident that Dabawenyos — or Filipinos in general — love chicken. Proof of this is the outburst of chicken restaurants and stalls in practically all food districts.
BonChon Chicken is a welcome addition to the list of choices where we can enjoy chicken in Davao. Originally from Korea and made famous in the US, BonChon Chicken is now in Davao, its first store outside Metro Manila in the Philippines.
Excited to taste another chicken preparation, we patiently lined up during the first week of BonChon Chicken’s opening in The Annex at SM City Davao. The store is still on its soft opening, so if you’re planning to visit them, be ready for a very busy atmosphere.
Its banner product is Korean-style fried chicken, which is fried twice to give that extra crunch and flavor. True enough, their chicken wings are delightfully crispy and freshly cooked. You can also enjoy their chicken in other forms: chops, drumsticks or thighs. Choose between two chicken flavors: Soy Garlic and Spicy.
BonChon’s fried chicken may be ordered in boxes sized Small (P185), Medium (P365) or Large (P720). Or, you might want to feed your very hungry friends with the Big Box (P1395). Check out the full list of prices below.
Get a load of BonChon Chicken’s other offerings: the unique noodle dish Chapchae (P75), Crispy Chicken Bulgogi Rice (P145), and Ko-Yo or Korean Yogurt (P75).
We’re hoping that as the weeks pass by, BonChon Chicken becomes more quiet and less hectic, so we can fully enjoy BonChon’s crispy and flavorful chicken wings.

Tried Bonchon for the first time kahapon. Pinakagusto ko ang chapchae. 🙂
The pictures are really enticing. I had been reading good reviews about their chicken so I will set a date to visit their SM Branch and blog about it, too. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!
Great! May bago na naman sa Davao! I’ll make sure to drop by SM this weekend. 😉
wow this sure looks delish! but the location’s really from from where i am. hope they’ll have a branch at SM Lanang 🙂
lami pero mahal lang. gamay kaayo ang chicken wings. mas sulit pa rin ang kfc.
Hi there, finally got the chance to try out BonChon in Abreeza. The review is on my blog. Love their chicken, slightly on the expensive side but reasonable enough, IMO. 🙂
