Soccskargen tourism is on a high roll! The region’s aggressive campaign for eco-tourism is paving the way for more discoveries not only in General Santos City, but also in neighboring provinces. A living proof of this is Sarangani, which is gaining ground for their prized treasures from the sea.
One of their banner tourist destinations is Pawikan Nesting Sanctuary, a natural breeding ground for sea turtles. The turtle nesting site is located in Maitum, Sarangani.
Bloggers who joined the recent Soccskargen Experience Tour enjoyed handling the baby sea turtles. The pawikans are so cute!
Kudos to the city government of Maitum, led by Mayor Elsie Perrett, for boosting Sarangani as a viable tourist destination.
