Mutya ng Dabaw 2008 Mary Jean Lastimosa was named Binibining Pilipinas 2011 – 2nd runner up.
When host Derek Ramsay commented on how MJ seemed to be pretty confident on pageant night, she answered: “Well I feel I am one of the stars in the universe and I am the brightest of them all.”
