Dabawenyos have developed a discriminating taste and a penchant for affordable food. And yet, the food quality should never be forgotten. Good thing Bigby’s came to town.
Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant hails from Cagayan de Oro City, as the brainchild of Henrik Kelly Yu, Joanna Cris Yu, and Catherine Genabe. Bigby’s is known for its explorer theme, with its interiors adorned with maps and travel icons. It appears as a cross between a fine dining restaurant offering world cuisine and an affordable fast-service diner. The result is food that’s worth every penny.
More importantly, Bigby’s is best known for its dishes. Our two favorites stand out from their impressive menu roster: Passion Fish and Rack A Bye Baby.
Passion Fish is described as “parmesan-breaded fish fillet”. Wow! Where can you find fish cooked this way? The accompanying garlic dip perfectly complements the cheesy, crunchy goodness of Passion Fish.
Rack A Bye Baby is a sinfully sumptuous slab of tender pork ribs, smoky barbecue style. Its size may be intimidating at first, but after enjoying its rich flavors, you’ll wonder how it disappeared off your plate. (Later on, you’ll realize that you’ve consumed it all by yourself!)
There are plenty other things to chew and salivate over at Bigby’s Cafe & Restaurant, CDO’s greatest gift to our city. 🙂

thank you for sharing! 🙂
Every time I will enter their place, it is their interior design of maps and travel icons that wanted me to stay longer. It is such a unique idea to watch that kind of design in a restaurant. Not just that but the food. It is so yummy and affordable.
