Who Am I?
Ako si Jinggol.
I was once a kid, just like everyone else. My entire childhood was played out within the confines of Davao City. Everything that I learned, enjoyed and experienced was tied up with Davao City’s own history.
Years after, I am ready to share my memories to the world.
—————————————
- A child of Ma-a. I grew up with the knowledge that Gem Village in Ma-a, Davao City is the best place to live. Of course, there are other high-end subdivisions, but nothing beats home.
- Blue Knight by blood. My academic formation started at the Ateneo de Davao University. I remember peeing in my pants at one point, but it’s all good.
- Tambay sa Ilustre. No, I wasn’t technically a bystander. It’s just that I have vivid memories of buying groceries at Felcris Ilustre, and eating waffles and mango shake there.
- Aldevinco is a one-stop shop. Whenever we had relatives and friends visiting Davao City, they usually dropped by the city’s foremost “ethnic mall” to buy batik and durian candy.
- Watch a movie, bring a flashlight. Back then, Garmon, Galaxy and Golden Theatres were state-of-the-art cinemas. But we had to carry along a penlight to enter the pitch-black interior.
- Sports bug? It’s not a typo, and I’m not really a sports buff. In fact, sports really bugs me. I’m not into activities that will make me sweat. I know it’s sounds geeky, but that’s me.
Check back here for more about me, when I can find the time to update these.
