We have not exactly spotted or laid eyes on our Christmas wish for the Francisco Bangoy International Airport, also known as the Davao International Airport. What we actually saw was the image that inspired our Christmas wish.
This is the waiting lounge of Cebu’s Mactan Airport, surrounded by food shops like Zubuchon (lechon), Dunkin Donuts, Crave Burger, Potato Monster, Tsim Tsa Tsui (Chinese food), Bo’s Coffee, Tablea (chocolates) and Tubo (cane juice) – and these are the ones inside the waiting lounge, after you get your boarding passes and are now only waiting for the flight. They have more food shops in the check-in area and in the airport entrance.
We love Davao. We can’t say that enough here in our blog. And Davao, for us, has actually a more relaxing airport atmosphere – plenty of light coming in, more spacious, less busy, cleaner comfort rooms. BUT we need more food options inside, so that the next time we or our guests shell out P150 for rice meals at the airport, we actually get our money’s worth.
Christmas wish: More food shops inside the Davao International Airport =)
I second this. NAIA Terminal 3 has a lot more food stalls now than before. I believe that’s the direction we’re going. Soon Davao’s airport will be like this. It’s just a matter of time. 🙂
