World-Renowned Filipino Doctor to Speak on Epilepsy Forum in Davao

Dr. Elson So, Head of the Epilepsy Center in Mayo Clinic, USA and Vice President of the American Society of Epilepsy, will head a lay forum about epilepsy on Sept. 10, Tuesday, from 8:30am to 9:30am at the 8th Floor Conference Hall of Metro Davao Medical and Research Center Inc. (MDMRCI) Bldg. B.

Dr. Elson SoThis is a forum open to the public. He will also be the guest speaker of “What’s New on Epilepsy?”, a forum open to all doctors and allied health professionals at 6:00pm to 7:00pm on the same date.

Dr. So is a graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila, Philippines, whose certification includes the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, American Board of Sleep Medicine, and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

This event is one of the highlights of the weeklong first year anniversary celebration of the Health and Science Wellness Center, with activities which include providing free medical services and checkups for the community.

The Health and Science Wellness Center is a four-storey annex building that has 109 clinic spaces for medical and dental specialists. It is a special building unit of the Metro Davao Medical and Research Center, Inc., a multidisciplinary DOH – Level 2 and PHIC – accredited Hospital with an eight-storey building which offers a comprehensive range of medical and paramedical services, and a future research facility.

MDMRCI Medical Health and Wellness Center

This new hospital offers both outpatient and inpatient services with a capacity of more than 150 beds, including an ICU complex of 16 beds. A spacious outdoor parking lot and a steel parking structure will accommodate 210 cars for convenience. It is located along Km. 4, J.P.
