After declaring our love for yogurt shake and milk tea, I might just have found our next beverage favorite.
Coco Fresco, a Luzon-based business, opened its first food stall in Davao last Friday, July 6, 2012, at the ground floor of SM City Davao (fronting Greenwich). Looking at the stall’s design, it’s kinda obvious what Coco Fresco is selling: coconut beverages.
I’m not really a fan of buko shake, because I never liked the texture. Most of the buko shakes that I tasted before were usually grainy and coarse on the palate. But I decided to give it a go and ordered their bestseller, Pandan Coco Shake.
All it took was one sip to convince me that not all buko shakes are created equal. Coco Fresco’s version of the buko shake was the smoothest that I ever tasted. Its flavor was also unlike any other coconut shake; its creamy taste reminded me of maja blanca and leche flan. It reminded me of my childhood when I used to munch on kakanin, my favorite Pinoy meryenda treat. That first sip made me feel like Anton Ego in the climactic scene of the Pixar film “Ratatouille” (watch the clip here).
Simply put, I cannot wait to taste Coco Shakes again, my newfound favorite drink. 🙂
Coco Shakes are also available in Grande (P45) and Venti (P55) sizes. You may enjoy their shakes in Ube or Strawberry flavor, or you may also choose Chocolate or Caramel for an additional P15. Coco Fresco also offers Coco Water in 350-mL, 500-mL and 1 liter bottles.

I really miss the random buko juice stalls in Maa road, I don’t see any of them these days. I think this is worth a try. =)
Oo nga no? Probably since there are already a lot of stores selling buko juice inside the malls. Sarap pa naman nun, fresh talaga. =)
Napansin ko lang na masarap kapag yung babae ang magprepare. Pero kapag yung lalake, parang sobra sa blender. Wala na gaanong ice.
may isa pa na buko shake stall sa sm, duol sa waffles. pero pirmi out of stock. hehehe!
