Food Safety Seminar for Davao City Public Market Vendors

Market vendors in Davao City will get the opportunity to learn more about food safety, through government-initiated seminars this week.

The Department of Trade and Industry – Davao City Field Office (DTI-DCFO) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will conduct free seminars on food safety for all market vendors. Schedules are as follows:

July 7, 1-3 p.m. – Toril Public Market
July 8, 1-3 p.m. – Matina Public Market
July 12, 1-3 p.m. – Bankerohan Public Market
July 13, 1-3 p.m. – Agdao Public Market

The seminars are in line with the upcoming celebration of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development Week, to be held on July 11 – 17, 2011.

  1. vendors selling sliced /cut vegetables,bagoong isda,bagoong hipon are using tawas as preservative.acceptable ba yan ng doh.i never heard na may inspection sa bankerohan about tawas for i known it toxic when taken internally..
