Ateneo de Davao Celebrates Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The Ateneo de Davao community celebrated the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola with a wreath-laying ceremony followed by a Holy Mass last Thursday at the university’s Matina Martinez Sports Complex.

St. Ignatius of Loyola is the founder of the Society of Jesus. He died on July 31, 1556, and his feast day is celebrated annually on July 31.


Students, faculty, staff and administrators from the different units of the university gathered for the Eucharistic celebration in honor of St. Ignatius. Read the homily of Fr. Joel Tabora, S.J., President of the Ateneo de Davao University.
