No signal! From early afternoon to late evening of May 9, 2011, Globe Telecom subscribers from several areas in Visayas and Mindanao could not send text messages, place calls, or connect to the Internet. According to Erwin Feliciano, Head Customer Contact Management for Globe Telecom, the service interruption was caused by a fiber cut.
Globe’s technical staff are currently working on the problem, hoping to restore service as soon as possible.
UPDATE: The service is back up, as of May 9, 10:50 PM. Connection has been stable since then.
