Piolo Pascual Joins Sun Life in Saying It’s Time!

A year after Sun Life’s It’s Time! advocacy was launched, Piolo Pascual joins Pia Magalona, Bam Aquino, James Yap and his son Baby James in promoting awareness on insurance and financial security. The advocacy, launched in July 2009, hopes to inform and encourage the Filipinos to be more active in protecting their financial and economic well-being.

Piolo for Sun LifeI think they could not have chosen an endorser better than Piolo. He is young, (extremely) good-looking, talented, famous and rich. He is on the top of his career, so why the heck should he worry about his future when surely he has plenty of money to get by until he retires?

The truth is that we don’t know what the future brings and we cannot say that the money we have now would be enough when things go difficult, such as when one meets a critical accident or a serious illness. What happens to our loved ones then? Piolo, with all that he has now, still believes in providing financial protection to his loved ones.

No matter how much people know about insurance and wise investments, though, if they cannot afford its costs, all efforts will be in vain. That is why I think the Sun StartUp is a great product. It’s a starter insurance plan that is simple and cheap, yet is backed by one of the largest and most trusted insurers in the Philippines.

For about P500 per month, you can have a P200,000 life insurance coverage for 10 years. The monthly payment depends on how old you are. If you’re 30 years old, the monthly payment will only be P412 (for males) or P388 (for females). The amount gets higher with your age. The product also comes with a money back feature, so you get a portion of the premiums you have paid after 10 years.
