Karlyn's Food Station Serves Affordable High-Class Dishes

It’s not everyday that you get to taste exquisite dishes that you only get served in hotels and classy restaurants. And yet, there’s always Karlyn’s Food Station, a seemingly simple al fresco restaurant that offers hotel-quality food for the masses.

A yummy feast at Karlyn's Food Station

How cheap, you ask? For only P40 a dish, you can choose from their mouth-watering and flavorful meat dishes: beef stroganoff, beef oyster, chicken adobo, lengua, and many more. The king of Karlyn’s menu is Steak ala Pobre, which consists of a generous slab of fall-off-the-bones beef sizzling in thick gravy over a hot plate. It’s worth another visit!

They serve turo-turo style: you order food by looking through the different food trays and pointing out which you like to eat.

Also worth noting is the great service of the waitstaff. After being greeted by warm smiles while taking your orders, we were served hot beef broth soup once we got seated. Our orders arrived a few short minutes after. After the sumptuous meal, they served minatamis na saging (banana slices in syrup) for free!

The restaurant may be outside the confines of a mall (although it’s a stone’s throw away from SM City Davao), but Karlyn’s Food Station manages to attract repeat customers and loyal clients because of its consistently excellent dishes at very affordable prices.

Alam mo ba na they used to have a carinderia in St. Michael’s lang? Back in college and after college, we used to get our food there (near andy’s dad’s house). Now, sosyal na sila. They also have a branch in Maa. :)
