Camp Holiday: Family-Friendly Beach Resort In Samal

Our department summer outing was a much-needed getaway from the daily rigors of work. It was especially exciting for our group to jump to Island Garden City of Samal to enjoy their beaches. One of the spanking new attractions is Camp Holiday Resort & Recreation Area.

It’s conveniently located right smack beside the Samal Ferry Wharf, so you won’t miss it if you ride the barge from Sta. Ana Wharf. Entrance fee is P80 per head, and overnight rates are P150 per person. The fees already include free use of the swimming pool, open cottages, nipa huts, and seaside veranda.

Just like our summer outing, events and parties may be accommodated by Camp Holiday. Their seaside veranda is an organized row of tables and chairs separated into several groups and housed under a sturdy roof. From the veranda, you will catch the relaxing glimpse of the sea.

While you may bring your own food, Camp Holiday has an in-house restaurant serving surprisingly affordable dishes. For parties, the food may be served buffet-style. In our case, the entrance fee and food summed up to P270 per person. Not bad for a Samal beach resort!

If you plan to stay overnight, Camp Holiday houses 22 hotel rooms at P1,200 a night, and 12 cottages at P1,800 per night. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, with cable TV, and hold & cold shower.

There are a lot of activities and amenities for families and groups to enjoy in this modern but tranquil resort. One day in Camp Holiday is nearly not enough to contain all the fun and excitement that this place has to offer.
