Shoppers and moviegoers in Gaisano Mall of Davao got a mild shock last Monday, April 12, 2010, when white smoke started creeping into the mall building. It turns out that a small fire broke out on the fourth level of the mall, where the cinemas are housed.
VJ Czar, a Davao blogger, witnessed the commotion from the outside. He was able to take pictures as the firefighting unfolded.
News outfits like GMA and ABS-CBN reported that the source of the fire was a failed welding job. Fortunately, the fire was quickly put out. Otherwise, it would have been a great loss to burn the new cinemas of Gaisano Mall!
Brendel and I just came out of the Cinema when the fire started.
She smelled something burning and told me that we should leave. I dismissed it saying that the smell was probably coming from the renovation being done on Cinema 1.
Turns out she was right. Oh well, good thing no one was hurt.
@Lyle: In any relationship, the girl is always right. (Hubby violently disagrees, but the rule still applies.) Hehe.. 😀

kaya pala parang nag.alangan talaga ako! buti n lang!!!
Woah. How the heck did I miss this?
Yeah, would’ve been a pity if they blew up in flames. G-Malls theater even are more awesome compared to the ones back home in USA.
