Nanay Bebeng Restaurant: Mother of Authentic Filipino Dishes

Being one of the first restaurants to offer buffet dining in Davao City, Nanay Bebeng Restaurant has never failed to satisfy my hunger for Pinoy food. Just by looking at their buffet tables, no words are necessary to describe how delicious the dishes are.

Here are some of the highlights of Nanay Bebeng’s impressive buffet set:

  • Kare-Kare! They have thoughtfully separated the meat, tripe and vegetables. That way, you can create your own kare-kare concoction.
  • Unique salad bar and appetizer table. The variety is amazing! I went crazy over their sour and salty Filipino appetizers: itlog na maalat, manggang hilaw at bagoong, and chicharong bulaklak.
  • Overflowing and never-ending? I found their food trays always full of their delectable dishes. Waiters are very prompt to refilling the table.

As expected, Nanay Bebeng’s food is delicious, memorable, and just plain excellent. I couldn’t discuss each food item that I stuffed in my mouth. Otherwise, this would have been a veeery long article! 🙂

    • Hmm, it might be a bit tough to commute. But here goes: Ride a tricycle to J.P. Laurel Avenue (you should see Davao Medical Center). Then ride a jeep going downtown until you reach F. Torres Street (where Caltex and Shell are facing each other). Ride another tricycle going to Marfori, and then straight to Nanay Bebeng. Hope this helps somehow! 🙂

  20. hi can i ask how much the buffet per head and can i choose lunch time.

  21. Nanay Bebeng is open 7 days a week (except on holidays) from 11am-2pm during lunch time and 6pm-9pm on dinner time….As of today (July 2, 2012) they charge P325 per head. They do give discount’s for senior citizens. Kids (7yo and below yata, i’m not exactly sure) are given a special cheaper rate. I’m a frequent costumer in this restaurant kasi sulit ang bayad mo. Sa deserts pa lang they have a bountiful array to choose from yung tipong hindi tinipid style as compared sa iba gelatin of various colors and flavorings lang apart from the usual pinya, watermelon and saging ang makakain mo. Sa main food naman nila when you say ‘meat’…..pure meat is what you get, unlike in other buffet resto puro extenders lang such as carrots, potatoes, etc……that is why until now whenever we have guests coming in town, duon kami parating kumakain kasi sulit ang bayad mo

P.S. I hope I’ll get an endorsement fee for this hahahaha

  22. What time are you open on dinner time?

  23. How much is the package with 4 dishes and the salad with chairs, balloon and tent good for 25 persons?

  24. hello may discount po kyo pag birthday? or free ba?

  25. Good evening. maam/sir pde magask if how much po ang per head inyo sa lunch this nov.24? tpos free po ba ang may bday nyan?
