Better late than never, as they say.
We have passed by this quaint pastry shop along Tulip Drive (near SM City Davao) a number of times already. The shop is called Margie’s Bakeshop, which gave us a first impression that it was either a small bakery or an extremely pricey food store.
Fortunately, we pushed aside our initial mindset, and proceeded to check it out. We were welcomed by an impressive cake and pastry display, where clients can easily pick their choice.
I guess it was destiny when our choice fell on a simple-looking dessert called Profiteroles (PhP 45). It didn’t look that spectacular at first, but BY GOLLY! It was pure heaven! In a nutshell, it is a cream puff that seemed to have exploded because of the thickness of its custard cream, and generously drizzled with chocolate syrup.
Go ahead. I urge you to try this creamy and puffy pastry, and I’m sure your sugar-loving self will profit from the experience.
