Several friends asked us regarding the details of the earthquake that hit Davao yesterday morning. We would like to share the details we found from USGS:

                          130 km (80 miles) SSW of Hinatuan

                          990 km (610 miles) SE of Manila

An earthquake with a magnitude ranging from 5.0 to 5.9 is considered moderate, which may cause significant damage to buildings with weak foundations.
