Annipie Cinnamon Roll: A Sinful Pleasure

Our college friend Erwin has been constantly inviting us to Annipie, which he and his wife Andrea are managing. Finally, after a number of dodges and excuses (just kidding!), we dropped by their spankin’ new branch in Malvar Street.

The place was perfectly cozy. Upon entering the shop, we were greeted by warm light and the heavenly smell of cinnamon. As a cinnamon lover, Hubby was already salivating.

Naturally, we ordered the Classic Cinnamon Roll (P35), coupled with hot chocolate. The pastry was a sight to behold: generous portions of cinnamon infused in a soft bun roll, and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon syrup. If you’re still going to ask how it tastes, then I guess you need to read this paragraph again! Better yet, take a good look at the picture below…

Annipie also offers coffee drinks to complement their already stable selection of pastries. Hubby sampled the MochaChill, mainly because of Erwin’s persistent clamor. Fortunately, his persistence was put into good use, because this particular iced coffee blend tasted so good! Hubby and I both agree that it’s definitely in our top 3 list of the best iced coffee products in Davao. It’s comparable to BluGre’s cold coffee line.

Overall, Annipie Malvar gets plus points for providing a relaxing atmosphere for its clients, and for selling the best cinnamon rolls in Davao. (By the way, you may take home these rolls in a box of nine.)

Annipie has been operating in Davao City for many years as a simple bakeshop. Their ongoing expansion is a welcome addition to the city’s ever-growing business district. Kudos to Andrea and Erwin for keeping one of Davao City’s brands alive and kicking.
