Caracoles Festival Moves to Davao City!
The Caracoles Festival, which has attracted thousands of tourists to the Island Garden City of Samal for the past years, will be having a new home for 2009 – and yes, it’s going to be Davao City.
The Department of Tourism XI has confirmed that Davao will be the host of the 2009 Caracoles Festival. The event’s organizers are preparing for a grander celebration now that it will involve the entire Davao region (composed of Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley and Davao City) and not only Samal.
This is actually the second time the city is holding the festival as the 2nd Caracoles was held at the Waterfront Insular Hotel. However, since the festival was celebrated in Samal 4 out of 5 times, it has also already been known as Caracoles de Samal. Hmm.. Will it now be Caracoles de Davao?

can i hav an itinerary or the sked for caracoles in igacos?..
Hi Rex,
I haven’t seen the detailed schedule of Caracoles Festival here in Davao. However, I have searched far and wide (through Google, of course), and found the kick-off to be on April 25.
What’s more exciting is that this year’s Caracoles Festival will be celebrated in conjunction with the Dive Davao Festival, to be held on the last week of April.
